Autumn is my favourite time of year, for the colours mostly and for the quiet slowness that comes with it. Contemporary society doesn’t make much room for autumns, for the peaks and troughs of natural growth and loss. But the recent Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report makes clear how necessary it is for us to adopt a slower pace of living, to reimagine new ways of living and plan for new possible futures. This was a playful imagining of such futures.

I’m a Dublin-based illustrator, making drawings about our relationship with the world around us and the wild things we share with it. My social media handles are @barryquinnart and you’ll mostly find me on Instagram.
