I  took inspiration for this month’s cover illustration from the upcoming referendum on altering/removing the woman’s place as being in the home in our constitution.

I? took inspiration for this month’s cover illustration from the upcoming referendum on altering/removing the woman’s place as being in the home in our constitution. Obviously it’s very outdated in its language and whether the government completely removes it or change it to be gender-neutral to be more inclusive, something needs to be done about updating it for the sake of equality.

I often draw “alternative” portraits and also wanted to give a shout-out to two of my fave Irish bands around at the moment with the patches on their jacket – Pillow Queens and Girlfriend.
