An illustrator and designer based in Dublin for the past three years, I’ve noticed the “Lady on the Rock” phenomenon. Sometimes the statue is in every single window of an apartment block, and then the one after it and then another one.

I always wondered what it was about and what it meant. I also find this phenomenon an interesting example of how people follow trends in art without putting much thought into it.
