“Having private, for-profit care goes against all you are trying to achieve for children in care,” says Terry Dignan, a spokesperson for charities that run children’s homes.
Councils are reluctant to use the single-stage process because they take on more risk if something goes wrong, says Sinn Féin TD and housing spokesperson Eoin Ó Broin.
The mare we call Cappuccino crosses the fields of Mill Lane at sunset. This is the original Liffey Valley. A magical landscape in the small suburb of Dublin, Palmerstown. Steeped in local history, the River Liffey runs by and it is overlooked by the Farmleigh clock tower nestled in the woods above. It is the countryside, but a stone’s throw from the city centre.
I am a natural light photographer from Dublin. I am greatly inspired by the landscape of my childhood, Mill Lane in Palmerstown and head out to photograph it as often as possible. I also work with small business owners to capture the atmosphere of their brand through photography. You will find me mostly hanging out on Instagram, where I am @miss0una, and my website is uoconnor.com.
