What’s the best way to tell area residents about plans for a new asylum shelter nearby?
The government should tell communities directly about plans for new asylum shelters, some activists and politicians say.
Since we’re working from home these days, we’re hoping you can be our eyes and ears in your neighbourhood. If you’re willing, we’d love it if you would take a minute to fill out this little form.
When Covid-19 hit, and the shutdown followed, we were about to launch a subscription drive, with adverts focusing on how our journalists spend a lot of time away from their desks, out and about in the city, seeing what’s going on, talking to people.
Of course, now they’re not doing that at all. We’re all well so far, and working away as usual, but we’re finding stories from home, and doing our reporting from home.
But we don’t want to fall into the trap of getting all our ideas from social media, and missing all the interesting and important things going on that no one is posting on Facebook or Twitter or Instagram or wherever.
So we’re hoping you can help us. You know more about your community than we do, and we’d like to be able to draw on that expertise.
Would you mind filling out this little form quickly? We want to make sure we’re hearing from a range of people, all across the city, and would really appreciate your help.
Once you fill it out, one of our journalists might ring you up for help on a particular article, or just to have a chat to see what’s happening in your part of the world.
Get our latest headlines in one of them, and recommendations for things to do in Dublin in the other.
