A. Information we collect for this purpose

  • Basic account information: We ask for basic information from you in order to set up a free account. For example, we require individuals who sign up for a Dublin Inquirer account to provide an email address — and that’s it.
  • Public profile information: If you have an account with us, we collect the information that you provide for your public profile. 
  • Communications with us: You may also provide us with information when you respond to surveys or reporting call-outs, communicate with us about a support question, post a comment, or sign up for an event. When you communicate with us via form, email, or otherwise, we store a copy of our communications.

2. Payment processing

We use Stripe as our payment processor. Stripe processes subscriptions on our behalf. Stripe uses some cookies and local storage items to achieve this, these cookies are outlined below. 3. Analytics

We use Plausible to collect some anonymous usage data for statistical purposes. Plausible does not use cookies and does not collect any personal data. 4. Embedded third-party tools

On occasion we will embed third party tools into our articles such as YouTube videos, Spotify music clips, interactive maps, and Google Forms. These will utilise various tracking technologies such as cookies and local storage to collect information when these embeds are interacted with. IV. What rights you have over your data

If you have created an account, or purchased a subscription, you can ask to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
