Earlier this month we asked readers what our mascot should be.

People sent in so many great suggestions, from a fox to a bollard, a shamrock to coddle, an ornate lamp post to the Luas, James Joyce’s glasses to the Hungry Tree.

We combed through these and discussed them among ourselves, and based on how popular they were with you, and us, we’ve winnowed them down to a shortlist.

We’ve love it if you’d take a moment to vote for your favourite out of these five choices. We’ll share the results and hire an illustrator to make us our own version of whichever gets the most votes.
